On March 14, the concert by the Kremerata Baltica Chamber Orchestra and a recognized pianist Lucas Debargue will be held at the Heydar Aliyev Center.


The concert’s program features pieces by Ferenc Liszt, Krzystof Penderecki, Mieczislaw Weinberg, Milosz Magin and other renowned composers.

The chamber orchestra bringing together a team of young performers from the Baltic states was founded by violinist Gidon Kremer back in 1997. The team succeeded in growing into a world-class orchestra within a short period time. 


To date, Kremerata Baltica  played over 1000 times in 600 cities of 50 countries. The highest awards include Grammy in 2002 and Echo. The orchestra released over 20 CD-s.


Kremerata Baltica Festivals in Latvia are held as of 2003.


The French pianist Lucas Debargue enjoys cooperation with Kamerata Baltica  since 2017. He accompanied the orchestra during the guest performances in China and Japan in 2018.


Lucas Debargue has a lengthy record of playing with world-class symphony orchestras at the most prestigious concert halls. Besides classic repertoire, he performs jazz compositions along with pieces of his own.


In 2014, Lucas Debargue won the 9th Gayar International Piano Contest, whereas in 2015, he was the 4th at the 15th International Tchaikovsky Competition. In 2017, he received the prestigious ECHO Classic Award (Germany).
